Overview:The haphazard siloed IT Infrastructures that dominate your customer’s data centers increases complexity while making it difficult for them to meet the demands of the business for rapid application deployment, increased reliability, seamless scalability, and managed costs. This complexity reduces the IT team’s ability to be dynamic, responsive, and innovative, ultimately widening the gap between them, the user community, and the rest of the business or organization.

To meet these challenges, IT infrastructure teams are moving towards a new model for delivering IT services from a consolidated, multitenant shared computing platform. This new model for delivering IT as a service is commonly referred to as a Cloud, or “Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS)”. No matter what we call it, this architecture requires innovations in the compute, network, and storage layers of the data center.

The NetApp-Cisco FlexPod architecture leverages next-generation Cisco Unified Computing servers, Cisco Unified Fabric networking, NetApp unified storage and virtualization technologies, and best of- breed virtualization and management platforms to provide a integrated, pretested, scalable, secure multitenant architecture for a Cloud IaaS solution.

In this workshop, you will learn about the next generation technologies underlying the FlexPod architecture and how the FlexPod is scaled, provisioned, and managed as a whole. Ultimately, the goal of this workshop is to help you position a FlexPod to enable and accelerate your customer’s vision for an agile IT infrastructure as part of a pragmatic and successful cloud strategy.

Skills Gained:After you complete this course, you will be able to:
• Explain the rapid application provisioning, infrastructure agility, business impact and reduced cost benefits of an architecturally validated/integrated shared compute platform.
